Dear Mr Freer,-

Since you left Boston I have been very much occupied in transaction of certain silk importation which happily ended, and could not write you as I wished. I have also fixed up the store very attractive way with new things Come in and it looks splendidly. I suppose you have received all those precious bowls by this time and  I thank you for your kind purchase.

The screens are now all in and I hope before long you would see them. I am sure you will enjoy. Besides these screens I have a few potteries which when I saw them in Japan I at once thought of Whistler. I have in possesson one rare pottery made by the hands
