467 432 #33 Ferry Avenue, Detroit, Michigan, December 10th, 1901. Dear Mr. Griffiths:-- Prof. Fenollosa has asked me to forward to you, with his compliments, some notes on the Ukiyo-ye School of Japanese Art, which please find herewith. I am sure you will find what he says very interesting. Along with the same, I take pleasure in sending you a list of the one hundred prints, now in your possession, from my collection of the work of the Ukiyo-ye. The examples you have were all done during the period beginning with 1765 and ending with 1855. Yours very truly, Charles L Freer Prof. A. H. Griffiths, Director, Detroit Museum of Art, CITY.
