My dear Sir:-- Your note of the 18th instant is received, and in reply, I beg to say that I would like to see the Buddhist kakemonos. I am to be in New York Saturday next, and if you will be in your office, I will be pleased to call sometime between eleven and twelve o'clock that morning. I shall stop at the Waldorf, and my train is due to arrive in New York at ten o'clock. Barring some delay to the train, I shall call upon you at the hour above appointed. Yours very truly, Charles L.
