#915 Union Trust Building,
Detroit, Michigan,
August 8th, 1904.

Wm. C. Edwards, Esq.,
Treas., The Guaranty Trust Co. of N.Y.,
New York City.

Dear Sir:--
I have your thoughtful letter of August 5th, and thank you for the suggestion made concerning our business correspondence with your Company. The habit of addressing our letters to Mr. Turnbull as Vice President grew up in this office because of my old-time friendship and close business relations with Mr. Turnbull, and I suppose, really, that it should have been discontinued sometime ago, but yourself and associates understand how closely friendship follows business. In the future, all communications of a business nature had between this office and yours will be addressed to the Guaranty Trust Company of New York.

With cordial regards,
Yours very truly,
Charles L Freer
