the woodwork excepting a thorough rubbing occasionally with clean dry cotton waste. I find that the more rubbing the wood receives, the finer it becomes.

Thank you for the information given me concerning the pictures and sketches by Mr. Whistler owned by Dr. Roswell Park of Buffalo. The matter is entirely new to me. I had heard of some etchings being owned by a Mr. Park, but I was quite unaware of his having examples of the other mediums used by Mr. Whistler. I hope someday to know more definitely what he has, as I am trying to locate as accurately as possible all of Mr. Whistler's work. If it would not trouble you too much, and Mrs. Martin is willing to give you the information, I would be glad to know the details of Dr. Park's group.

Glad you have received a satisfactory letter from Mr. Bing. He is a delightful man, and my relations with him have been most agreeable and satisfactory.

F. Mazandier, Courtier, is entirely unknown to me. I would suggest extreme caution in dealing with the“Jews of Rue la Fete”, as Mr Whistler used to call the Parisian dealers. I would suggest you ask Bing for personal information concerning any dealer there with whom you may deal.
