Guizeh Post-Office,
Nr. Cairo, Egypt.

DEAR SIR:
Through an error in the address written on the envelope enclosing your letter to me, dated September 12th, 1907, your letter only just now came to hand. I am glad to have your letter, but sorry that it did not reach me earlier.

Since my return to America, I have had the Biblical Manuscripts, which I purchased from you last year, examined by experts, and have found that the Manuscripts are genuine old copies of the Bible. When this fact was determined by the experts, I wrote to my dragoman, Ali of Alexandria, who you will remember was working for me during my last visit in Egypt. I asked Ali to tell you about the Manuscripts being all right, and to tell you about the Manuscripts being all right, and to tell you that I have a watch ready for your son. I asked him to tell me how to forward the watch in safety to your son-that is, I want to know how the watch should be addressed in Cairo. I asked this information so as to make sure that the watch will eventually reach your son's hands in safety.

I also asked Ali to request you to let me know just where the Manuscripts which I bought from you were found,-that is, I want to know where they were dug up. I wish you would write me promptly, telling me the accurate truth concerning where the Manuscripts were dug up, also letting me know how I can ship the watch for your son. Shall I send it in care of Thomas Cook & Sons, or shall I send it in care of your Banker? If the latter, let me know the name of your Banker.
