342 325 33 Ferry Avenue, East, Detroit, Michigan, February 8th, 1909. Mrs. Herman J. Hall, The Chicago Academy of Fine Arts, 6 Madison Street, Chicago, Illinois. Dear Madam:- In further reply to your letter of January 30th, let me say. That if you have a photograph of the Japanese Bronze, I shall be glad to examine it. I dislike to put you to the trouble of sending the piece itself, as I judge (from your description) that it is probably of a period later than that in which I have a particular interest, and a photograph would be quite satisfactory to examine, on this point, as the original piece itself. Believe me, Sincerely yours, Charles L Freer
