My dear Mr. Kelekian:-
Knowing you were in Cairo recently, I take the liberty of asking, if while there you saw the six Tiles, of blue glaze with inscriptions in relief, owned by Vitali Madjar, whom you will remember we visited together during one of our meetings at Cairo. Madjar has written me about these Tiles and given me their size, as - 31 centimetres in length and claiming that they are dated 515 Hegire. He asks for the six Tiles 750 pounds at Cairo, and urges me very strongly to by them. He mailed me a fragment of one of a similar lot of Tiles, which, unfortunately, must have been lost in the mails, so I cannot judge accurately concerning the quality of these Tiles, but, I am entirely willing to rest upon your judgement concerning them. Did you see the Tiles? And what do you think of the price? Is not the price extremely dear? I know you will be glad to advise me in the matter, so I do not hesitate to ask you to cable me on receipt hereof.

In answering I will understand, if you will use simply the words "Yes" or "No" "Yes", I will understand means, that you think I ought to make the purchase "No" will convey to me the opposite opinion. My cable address is- Freer, Detroit, Michigan. Of course, I shall gladly refund the cable expense.

Believe me,
Yours very sincerely,
Charles L. Freer
