Dec. 17/95.

Mr. W. M. Wilson,
909 Havemeyer Building, New York.

My dear Wilson:

On my return from Chicago this morning I find your valued letter of the 14th inclosing Mr. Corbett’s communication to you of the 13th in reference to the wants of the T. & M. Schaefer Brewing Co. Of course we should be glad to build some refrigerator cars for this company, and I have asked Mr. Plumb to see you about the matter.

I had the pleasure of telephoning Mrs. Wilson after our long distance telephone conversation Sunday evening last. She was very glad to hear from you and said that at home all your people are very well and are hoping that you will soon see them in Chicago. Tripp is well and sends his best regards.

I succeeded in securing from the C.& N.W. 150 refrigerators and 400 ore cars. As named in my message to you, Schroyer uses an iron brake beam of his own design and cannot be induced to consider either the American or National Hollow. He also uses the Chicago coupler and will furnish the bearings and springs for the cars we are to build.

Even on box lids we can do nothing for you I am sorry to say.

With kindest regards and many thanks for your efforts with Mr. Mellen, I remain,

Yours very truly,
Charles L Freer
