367 (X) Nov 11/97 Messrs. Proctor & Co., 5 East 20th St., New York. Gentlemen: After my return home I was taken ill and am just on my feet again. The four rugs and the place of embroidery were duly received. I shall keep all four of the rugs but the piece of embroidery I find does not suit for the purpose I thought it might, and I shall return the same to you by express charges prepaid tomorrow. Concerning the curtains for which you laid aside two pieces of Chinese embroidery, I have decided that the materials which we preposed to use for mounting the two pieces of embroidery is too dark for the room, and when I am next in New York, which will be ere long, I will call at your store and see if something lighter in tone cannot be used. Yours very truly, Charles L. Freer
