Mr. E.W. Grieves
1756 Park Ave.,
Baltimore, MD.

My dear Mr. Grieves;

I am just home from a two weeks' absence, during which time I learned of your retirement from the Car Dep't of the S. & O.R.R., and now I find in my office your note of the 29th November. Am sorry to learn that you have given up the position you have filled so faithfully and long and hope that you will soon occupy a place even more to your liking, in which you will have a broader field of work. You can rest assured that if I hear of any opening suitable for you, I shall be very pleased indeed to communicate with you at once. At the present writing I know of nothing which might interest you.

With personal regards and best wishes

Yours very truly
Charles L Freer
