Mr. Edward S. Hull, Jr.,
31 Nassau Street, New York City.

My dear Mr. Hull:-

Having finished with the list of the books, I am returning same to you by American Express, today. I must call your attention to the fact that while the sheets of the price list are consecutive, it seems to me it is not complete, because memoranda of numbers made by me in New York the day I first saw the books, are not included in the list you sent and which I am returning to you herewith. When you have leisure will you let me know the price and number of all the stencils belonging to this lot. It seems difficult to make out from the list how many there are or the prices thereof.

Referring to my letter of August 31st, in which I mention that the price of the three volumes in the box $100.00. I came to that conclusion by an examination of the list and took it for granted that No. 1120/617 was the number of the set. If I am right in the numbers I am also right in the price, because the list shows them at $100.00 but last evening after I discovered that the list seemed incomplete, it occurred to me that I might have made a mistake after all in the numbers of the box. The box was one of the last articles put in the toe vault and can be easily obtained.

Yours very truly,
Charles L Freer
