My dear Sir:-

Permit me the pleasure of handing you enclosed herewith draft on New York payable to your order for one hundred dollars, which I beg you to accept with my compliments as a contribution to the proposed memorial to the Huguenot Settlers. Permit me to add that in my opinion it would be wise to purchase the Jean Hasbrouck house.
