Gentlemen: -

The collection in my care contains, along with other specimens of the work of Abbott H. Thayer, two paintings for which frames are needed, and I wish to have for these paintings, frames made in reproduction of other frames already here.

I have chosen for reproduction, two frames designed by Stanford White and gilded under his supervision, - and I write to enquire if your firm would care to make the reproductions wanted.

If you would like to undertake this work I will ship to you the two original frames named above, and you can examine the same and furnish me with an estimate for doing the same.

The size of the canvas of one of the pictures, Landscape -, is 35 1/2" x 35 1/2", and the other, A Portrait -, measures 30 1/2" x 23 1/4".

The outside measurement of the frame for the Landscape, is 51 5/8" x 51 5/8", but the outside measurement of the frame for the Portrait, will differ somewhat from the width of the sample frame to be sent you.

Yours very truly,
