Dear Sir
Messers Hendrix & Dobbins having some days since transfered to My Brother Genl Longstreet their entire interest in their present years crop on the Ivy plantation in this County, I as the agent of my Brother went upon Said plantation on Saturday last to see the condition of Same - I am of the impression that one hundred & Forty or fifty Bales of cotton & 3000 Bushel of corn will be the full extent of the crop - 79 Bales of cotton has been shipped 41 Bales to Smith & Roberts of Mobile  & 38 Bales to Longstreet Owen & Co of New Orleans - 

The liabilities of Hendrix & Dobbins as far as I am informed are to Smith & Roberts $3500 - They hold Hendrix rent note (belonging to Dobbins) as Security - To Longstreet Owen & Co $2500 - for which they have received 38 Bales of cotton
