too, the males object to wear the Mahomedan drawersor trowsers. Instead of these a voluminous loongee of waist cloth, like that shown in the Photograph, is invariably used, with a loose turban or handkerchief wound round the head - a slovenly costume at best, and an index, as it were, to the character of the Dagars. The men of the tribe are, however, fine robust figures, with strong marked features and a bold bearing. Their women are secluded, but are stated to be handsome. The whole clan is ignorant and uneducated, and in this respect, for the present at least, unimprovable.
