My Dear Mr. Hart
You will remember that recently you came to see me regarding my Landscape "First Touch of Autumn" and that I told you that the picture was in Paris where it had been sent with others to represent me at the exposition.
I find that it was upon this Landscape that I received the First Class [[underline]]Gold Medal [[/underline]].
The painting is now here in the ex' made by the Academy of [[^ some of]] the pictures from the Paris ex. May I trouble you to give me the name and address of your friend--who made inquiry about the picture--I would like to have him come and see the picture again. Thanking you in advance for your kindness I remain
Very Sincerely Yours
Wm. M. Chase
