My dear Bob,
When you receive this your large box with pictures will be at Orricks, in Broad St,--You can send a dray up and have them conveyed down to your house, it would have been sent sooner but our [[scaly]] carpenters would not, or did not want to make a packing box, so I made one myself, such as it is,--but you will find the pictures carefully put up. I hope you will set a proper value on the Capuchin, as it is decidedly the best work of my pencil,--I have now concluded, if we keep well, to visit [[^ you]] on Monday a week next,--[[Thurston]] has nothing new to say,--except that this morning a very serious accident occurred in town,--Mr. Wm. [[Hamboughts]] Son, a young man grown, fell from a Car, and it [ran] over him, he died in three hours.
hoping you are all well I close with my love to you all.
    in haste
