sorry that I cannot send you but one, new subscriber for this Crayon. he is William Bradford of Fairhaven you can send to him direct or to me, I will collect the bill. we lost nearly $300. on our late exhibition here. so you see we have to bleed here occasionally for the cause of Art here as well as there. but still we hope. we have planted some seed, which will spring up and bear fruit yet. I feel ready to try another, and I am

quite confident that we should succeed. our expenses were to much. the next one they could be curtailed very materially. remember me to Gifford your Father and the rest of the Painters. and with a thousand good wishes for the success of the Crayon.
