presume there is little in it with which you will agree, but I rely on your impartiality.  I have not written it without mature reflection and [[?]] & careful observation.  And I have the satisfaction of knowing that there is not one among my American Artist friends who does not think mainly as I do.
I sent you lately some poems, & have more, if you wish them.
