Dear Sir.
Enclosed please find $3 for subscription to Crayon of 1860. It is a long time since I have visited New York. I have been quite occupied in business the past year The State appropriated $2000 last Oct for my Ethan Allen in Marble. I have received my marble from the Rutland (Vt) quarries. It is in two blocks weighing Seven tons each. I have an Italien employed in roughing out the statue and hope to complete it in a year. Have just completed a bust of a prominent [[?]] lawyer. I have a commission for two statuetts for a person in New Orleans
