A gentleman a friend of mine has seen your painting of the Falls of Niagara, and is very desirous of possessing a copy of it, should it be agreeable to you To allow him that favour, (It is to go abroad and will continue in his possession as an amatuer) in case you have the goodness to comply with his request,  I shall be much obliged, if you will select an Artist on whom you can depend to make a faithful copy, the size of the original; beg the favour of a time to inform me the price he will expect, so should my friend approve the terms, I will give you immediate answer and engage for the prompt payment of it when finished  I am [[?]] [[?]] respectfully y-or Edw-d Miles. The same who had the pleasure of your acquaintance in England, [[?]] whom you once favoured with a call in Philadelphia, should you make a visit to this city it will give me pleasure to see you. Do me the favour to present my respects to Mrs Trumbull.
