Friend Poore

Allow me to introduce to your acquaintance my friends Jacob Robbings Esq. and Julian Abbott Esq. of this city -- who are visiting Europe in search of health and recreation. I trust it will give you much pleasure to bestow upon them such attentions, and give them such information as your leisure and conveniense will permit. I presume from your letters that you are quite au fait as to the "Lions" of Paris and can easily give my friend much valuable knowledge respecting those [[underline]] Animals [[/underline]]. Any attentions that may be bestowed upon my friends I shall consider as a personal favor & will endeavor to reciprocate if you will give me opportunity.

I am quite disposed to envy your situation & particularly your pedestrian tours with your friend Pierre - but I must be content to remain as I am. - I have too many anchors but to unmoor easily.

truly your friend Tho. B. Lawson
B.P. Poore Esq. Paris
