[[start right page]] YALE UNIVERSITY, SCHOOL OF FINE ARTS, NEW HAVEN, March 1st, 1893 [M. M.?] B. Clarke My dear Sir: I enclose the reply of Mr. [[Pincrist?]] to my application for "Hunter Mountain" by S.R. Gifford. Will you be kind enough to speak to some member of the [[?]] Committee about [[Whittredges'?]] pictures? It would be well to ascertain definitely whether McEntire and [[Hubbard?]] will be represented in the selection of the [[end page]] [[start left page]] marked in the enclosed list are their most important works [[success?]]. I would recommend in addition to Gifford's "Hunter Mountain" we should hear his "San Giorgio, Venice." I think the matter of American subjects of no consequence whatsoever. Can you inform me or handle [[permission?]] in [[meade?]] for collecting the pictures, when they are to be collected, and by whom, and what arrangement has been made for the exposure of boxing [[and inter?]] them? If you have a list of works obtainable could you send me a copy and oblige. [[Your very trust?]] [[Ino F.?]]
