Dear Sir
This will be presented to you by Mr. Robinson who with his family goes to Philadelphia as a Painter of Portraits in Miniature. His Portraits are most Excellent in that Department of which you will judge by the Picture s he painted of me which he takes with him to America. It is his intention to settle in Philadelphia or New York? If in your city as a stranger your noticing him will be highly Esteemed not only by him, but will greatly oblige me as his friend.

Your letter from Falmouth acknowledging the receipt of my Papers to you respecting my Land in the Westbranch of the River Esquihanna [[Susquehanna?]] in the state of Pensylvania I have received -- and I feel myself greatly obliged, your subsequent enquiries into the condition of those Lands will confer an obligation on the part of Dear Sir.
