was mixed doubles and those playing were Celia Jarvis & Dr Hudson against the Edwards (Dr & Mrs). The Edwards won in spite of a heavy handicap. 15 one game and 30 the next -- the game beginning -15-0- love and -30-0-love. When the Edwards won[[strikethrough]] e [[/strikethrough]] one point, in the first case, the [[strikethrough]] game [[/strikethrough]] [[insertion]] score [[/insertion]] became love for them; when they won[[strikethrough]] e [[/strikethrough]] 2 points, in the second case, the score was love. 
The various prizes were as follows; women's singles -- Irena Goodwin; Men's Singles -- Billy Archer; Women's Doubles -- Irena Goodwin & Mrs Wright (surgeon's wife); Mens Doubles -- Dr Edwards & Keith Gonzales; Mixed Doubles Dr & Mrs Edwards; Billiards Dr. Edwards. 
Mrs Mason & I stayed & played bridge with Mrs Duncan & Marjorie Branch. Both of us came out even. 3d a person for use of table and cards. 
Ginger - Mr Front - didn't realize that this is his birthday until late this afternoon. Mrs Lord then invited him and Addie up
Thelma Lake was here for dinner and after dinner they went to the movies to see "Anna Karenina" -- Greta Garbo. I didn't feel much in the mood so I didn't go.

In the evening Mr Frost had the Lords and Miss Hollander -- sister of the fellows Dick met in Montserrat -- to cocktails. He & Addie made them, and they were very strong. As ^ [[insertion]] neither of [[/insertion]] them drank any I supposed they didn't realize how strong they were making them. 
After dinner we played bridge. Dick & Ginger beat Mrs Mason & me.

Rather an uneventful day. Dick worked on cards most of the day and I sewed and did odds and ends.

Nothing very exciting until the afternoon when we went to Shirley Heights and the Dockyards. The first place we went is what Henry, the driver, said was Shirley Heights, but Mrs Mason insisted on going to the place she thought of -- what is known as the blockhouse. There we had tea. Up the hill a little beyond this place is a flat part from where the view is well worth seeing. We took some pictures up here and Ginger dug out a "Pope's Head" cactus for Mrs Mason to take home. 
After tea we went down to the Dockyards. While Mrs Mason went in to visit with Mrs Hudson -- the Archbishop's wife -- we
