Coming home a great majority of the people got off here. Bayamon is the first town of any size across the bay from San Juan and most of the stops between here and Arecibo are mere flag stops. [[end page]] [[start page]] [[preprinted]] 139 [[/preprinted]] Arecibo is about 1/2 way and we made a fairly long stop here as we had to wait for the train going to San Juan. At this station lots of boys got on selling things to eat such as guayaba cheese & cream cheese, cakes, and sandwiches. We didn't buy anything as we had some "Baby Ruths" which we ate. Between Arecibo & Aguadilla we go over a long bridge and thru' 2 tunnels. The river which the bridge is over is a very pretty one and quite tropical looking. It flows very gently and reminds me of Xochimilco - the main canal. We reached Aguadilla [[strikethough]] about [[/strikethrough]] [[insertion]] after [[/insertion]] dark, at about the time I had expected to be in Mayaguez. Most of the houses are built on the mountainside so that part of them are propped up on stilts. It is a fair sized town, but has few streets - mostly paths - and a rather dirty appearance. Rincon isn't much of a town, but I was getting so sure that we must be in Mayaguez soon that I was very much ready to get off here. We were only an hour and a half late. Mr Oakley (Bill) met us at the
