it certainly seemed more than early when the boy awakened us at 5 a.m. We were down to breakfast at 5:30 and off to the airport at 6. We got off to a flying start at about 6:30 The air at that time of morning was a little nippy, and after we had been flying a while even the Purser remarked that it was a little chilly. The trip [[strikethrough]] ao [[/strikethrough]] out over the bay and along the island of La Gonave was uneventful and riding was smooth. La Gonave is very dry and uninteresting. There are some inhabitants as I could see their huts. It must be a poor place off of which to wrest a living.
