Bay has ice cliffs round about and at this time seems to have little room for birds (colonies) on what there is in way of exposed ground. Nice & quiet as a mill pond in side (within shelter of) round about still, if not always ice covered island.

of the 3 species of Penguins said to be here we [[left margin, vertical wavy line]] saw 2 today, Chin-strap and Gentoo. Both on island where Chilean Base is located It does rob penguins of ground; sites like that are wherever a bird colony is located
