July 15, 1939
Took Dave & his sec out to Patuxent to look over area.  Took Dave back and went back to Patuxent and stayed at Morley's first overnight guest.  No pay for the Biological Survey today.

July 16, 1939
Out with Dr Morley all day on new part of refuge laying out plans for the development of same.  It looks possible for us to develop some more water.  Came home late.

July 17, 1939
At office all day.  Many dozen things today.  With Al Day to Paul Millers for dinner and had a fine time.

July 18, 1939
This is one of those things that leave one fagged. Nothing very fancy or important. Ate at home for a change and enjoyed the relaxation.

July 19, 1939
In office in the morning & had a staff meeting at Interior. This was my first and Sec. Jakes did most of the talking.  He told Jackson & I to get together and work out something in Bureau of fisheries & Bio. Sur.  Also told Page & other interior men to get together with us on a Dept Wild Life program.
Out in evening with Al Day & Solon White.
