Took specimen of the Hemipteron ([[underlined]] Therapha lyoscyauni [[/underlined]] L.) 200 yards S. of Newcastle Station.

Monday, 21st April, 1924. (Easter Monday)
No sun all day, but very hot : saltry.
[[underlined]] Salius fuscus [[/underlined]] [[2 male symbols]] & [[2 female symbols]]. Abundant in railway cutting! 
[[underlined]] Andrena albicans [[/underlined]] [[2 male symols]] abundant round gorse & willows. Only a few females seen, at Dandelions & Willows.
[[underlined]] A. jacobi [[/underlined]] 1 [[male symbol]] at willows, N.W. of Sallins.
[[underlined]] A. nigroaenea [[/underlined]] [[2 male symbols]] common at Dandelions & Willows (a few). 
[[2 female symbols]] common in ry. cutting.
[[underlined]] Bombus lucorum [[/underlined]] & [[underlined]] terrestus [[/underlined]] seen.
[[underlined]] Athalia lineolata [[/underlined]] seen
Ichneumonidae
3 spp. taken in ry. cutting.
