Sandpit, above Knockmaroon &c., Co. Dublin.
[[underlined]] Andrena nigroaenea [[/underlined]] [[2 male symbols]] very abundant & [[2 female symbol]] seen on Taranacum , & L. Celandium
[[underlined]] Halictus calceatus [[/underlined]] 1 [[female symbol]] seen on Taranacum.
[[underlined]] Bombus lucorum [[underlined]] & [[underlined]] terrestris [[/underlined]] seen on Willows (but no [[underlined]] Andrena [[/underlined]]) which were in full flower along river!

A glorious day with much sun but cool breeze. 
Went to Wicklow to look for "rooms" and so had not much time for collecting.
[[underlined]] Ballyhenry Quarry. [[/underlined]] 10-30 AM.
Evidently too early in day.

[[underlined]] Andrena [[/underlined]] 2 [[2 male symbols]] seen ? sp.

[[underlined]] Andrena praecox [[/underlined]] [[checkmark]] R.C.L.P. [[male symbol]] on [[strikethrough]] branch [[/strikethrough]] dead stick under willow tree by river!

[[underlined]] Bombus lucorum & terrestris [[/underlined]] [[2 female symbols]] very many at willows which were in full flower but no other bees seen : sun did not come out while [[?]] at willows! 
[[underlined]] Ichneumon latrator [[/underlined]] var. [[underlined]] means [[/underlined]] 1 [[female symbol]] taken running on sand & "burrowing" at roots of bent grass.
No other hymenoptera seen on sands - much too early a date!

S-East side Scalp along margin of wood (on Co. Dublin side of boundary!)

[[underlined]] Nomada fabriciana [[/underlined]] [[male symbol]] on Taranacum [[checkmark]] 
NB. Good ground & worth working later in year!
