THE BOBBY HILL, a native of Winchester, Tennessee, began his career with the late Alex Bradford. He made his Broadway debut in Don't Bother Me, I Can't Cope, returned in Your Arms Too Short to Box With God and toured in Bubbling Brown Sugar and The Wiz. Through Christ and with Christ, all things are possible.

RUFUS E. JACKSON, native of Latta, South Carolina made his Broadway debut in the revival of Box starring Jennifer Holliday, and has toured with the national company of Timbuktu. He has danced with the Alvin Ailey American Dance Center Workshop, and is currently recording on Pavillion Records.

ELMORE JAMES was in the national touring Co. of Box and has sung background vocals for Patti LaBelle in concert and on records. He was trained at the School of Performing Arts, S.U.N.Y. Purchase and with Lee Strasburg under the sponsorship of Garson Kanin and Ruth Gordon. At age 16 he made his acting debut in a Vinnette Carroll production of Moon on a Rainbow Shawl. 

LINDA JAMES began her career with the Fred Benjamin Dance Co. Last seen on Broadway in Box, Linda's other shows include, Comin' Uptown, But Never Jam Today, Alice, and the national tour of The Wiz. Her recent films are The Wiz  and All That Jazz.

TOMMI JOHNSON was born in Austin, TX. He has traveled as a gospel artist performing with Shirley Ceasar, James Cleveland, Walter Hawkins and others. He has two albums to his credit, Born Free and Miracles.

JANICE NUNN NELSON makes her Broadway debut with Box, after touring with the show this past season. She received degrees at H.C.C. Jr. College and Southern University in Baton Rouge, LA. She was Miss Black Florida in 1973 and third runner up in the Miss Black America Contest. She has traveled throughout Europe as a gospel artist and is the Coordinator for the Miss Black Florida Pageant.

DWAYNE PHELPS made his Broadway debut in Scott Joplin's Treemonisha.  Other credits include the original Box, It's So Nice to be Civilized, Alice,  and  Daddy Goodness. His screen credits include The Wiz, and One From The Heart.  He has done commercials for McDonald's, and has been traveling the country with Stephanie Mills' concert tour. 

QUINCELLA first appeared as Dancing Mary in the National Co. of Box, and debuted on Broadway in the same role. She appears in the PBS Special, "Blues and Gone." She has studied with Alvin Ailey and the Dance Theatre of Harlem, and for two years has performed with the Alvin Ailey Repertory Ensemble.

KiKi SHEPARD made her Broadway debut in Bubbling Brown Sugar and appeared in  The Wiz, Comin' Uptown, Reggae and the 1978 revival of Box. Her television credits include the "TV Critics Awards," "The Academy Awards" and numerous commercials. She was last seen in Apollo――It Was Just Like Magic. She trained with the D.C. Repertory Dance Co., and holds a B.B.A. from Howard University.

LESLIE HARDESTY SISSON made her Broadway debut with Box. She has appeared in  The Wiz and performed with the Inner City Dance Company under the direction of Donald McKayle. She holds her BFA from U.S.I.U. School of Performing Arts and finds all aspects of theatre a joy.

MARILYNN WINBUSH first acted professionally with Philip Meister, performing in Spoon River Anthology and The Fantasticks. She then became associated with Vinnette Carroll and the Broadway production of Box, as well as When Hell Freezes Over, I'll Skate, including both the PBS and Los Angeles productions.
