Both birds are much the same as always. Hrr, after completely recovering from its limp, has suddenly re-developed it. But it is still feeding all right.
Their behavior is also much the same as usual. M very vocal, Hrr usually silent. DN's (especially M's) provoked by the usual variety of stimuli.
Tonight both M & Hrr uttered very brief series (2 or 3 notes) or single DN's when I fed them. (M uttered the usual DN2's and Hrr the usual DN1"s). Probably because they couldn't get the food in as quickly and easily as they wanted to.
Later on, M uttered a peculiar note,, like a rather prolonged DN2 with a "quaver" or "semi-syllabic" division (there is a squiggly line here). Couldn't tell what provoked this. Muttered the note just as it was walking around the cage, pecking at food from time to time. His note may have been nothing more than an aberrant LN. We shall see.
Still later, David heard one bird, presumably M, utter two LN's, apparently exactly like the doublet LN's uttered by M days ago. This happened while we were out of the house in which the birds are kept - so we couldn't see the circumstances.

Tested both birds very briefly tonight, without much result. Both relatively silent.
