Have you ever seen a large flock of birds fly by, maybe 200 or so? This astonishing sight was one of many things naturalist Edward W. Nelson recorded in his 1881 journal covering three weeks from late July through mid-August. Hop in to transcribe with other volunteers and learn more about the flocks of King Eider ducks and other observations Nelson made that summer.
