Dear Germain:

I am wondering whether temperature plus humidity can be responsible for a certain sharpening of one's extra-sensory perceptions....or whether in fact, I could be right in associating your cryptic remarks before we parted, (with the final threat of a forfeit of a package of cigarettes if something "fantastic" eventuated) with the purchase by the Frick of the Rothschild van Eyck....at the modest price of $1,000,000.

What could be more fantastic? or desirable?

Sincerely,
John
