I will have photostat of Rottier "accord" made and will deliver to Mr. Porges.

Frank Sabin: I went to the new gallery located in a very large private house (converted) in Rutland Gate, Knightsbridge. There the nephew showed me the small LEDA & SWAN...very indifferent sort of small picture, apparently somwhat re-painted. Cost 150 pounds amd never advertised. He was anxious to make a sale, but plainly baffled. Produced a pseudo-Clouet....then gave up. Knowing your keen memory and exactitude, I now find myself baffled too.

I went again to see if the two Turners had materialized, but the woman was, if anything, more evasive than before. I imagine they have been sold and Matsch never told. I phoned his friend and told him about the matter and suggested he look in on Spink.

I have secured a photograph of the Ingres drawing of Mme. Reiset which I will deliver to 5 E. 57.

I won't encroach further on the Seligman holiday, since it is all too short, (and I suspect crowded with quite un-holiday-like activities such as book-writing) but if I find anything which should be brought to your attention when I arrive, I'll risk sending along another few lines. I, myself, will take a few days in Glens Falls and points thereabouts, before settling down in New York's maelstrom.

With all best wishes to you both,

Sincerely,
