Then see them in our Homes - tiny Blind Children, old Blind Men and Women with happiness shining upon each face! All this has been made possible by the generous support the Pencil Campaign has received, which not only maintains the Guild, but gives employment to the Blind and Handicapped who in the office of the Pencil Campaign earn a living wage. Glance through this booklet. Every picture is one of our own Blind. The Steps of Progress, on the back page, show how the work has advanced a step higher, each year. Our Home for the Blind is the only Jewish Home for the Blind in the United States. Realize please that it was founded and is supported by the Pencil Campaign. City and State Authorities rate us 100% for administration. We are continuing the Pencil Campaign that has accomplished so much. Will you continue accepting these pencils, $2.00 just one a year. Every dollar goes to the Blind. No Member of our Board of Directors receives any remuneration, no collectors employed, no commissions paid. Now all our houses are full - not even one more can be admitted. We, therefore, have bought 11 1/2 acres on Saw Mill River Parkway, Yonkers, N. Y., where larger sanitary and fire-proof homes, must be built at once. To accomplish this new Members and Contributors are needed. This package of pencils means happiness for the Blind. Will you accept it and help us solve the problem of their saddened lives? Gratefully yours, J. I. WILSON, Chairman. [[preprinted]] The work of the Pencil Campaign is done mainly by the Blind and Handicapped. The greater our pencil output, the greater number we can employ. We do not employ Collectors or Solicitors for Money or Pencils. Any such claim is fraudulent. Please pay direct to Pencil Office. WHEN YOU REPLY KINDLY RETURN OUR ENVELOPE OR MENTION FILE NO.
