STRAIGHT ARROW
ORIENTATION-Part 2
Some reasons why Indians never get lost.

It is in an Indians blood to be aware of danger from the rear; therefore, he constantly looks back. He also observes the landmarks to his rear which makes it easy for him to return. A white man usually fails to do this and therefore often gets lost.

When traveling in a strange area where water is scarce an Indian will pick up the trail of a grazing animal and follow it to drinking water. Grazing animals drink often and know where the water is in the area in which they are grazing....

If an Indian does lose his bearings he will naturally travel a valley until he comes upon a stream....He will always travel DOWN STREAM because it will take him to people and information...Straight Arrow suggests that you learn his ORIENTATION...it may someday save you from exposure or even save your LIFE.
