HOW TO KEEP WARM IN WINTER

Strengthen your body and condition yourself by hiking. Good food is also a necessity for the cold uses vitality. Where warm WOOL clothing, rubber over leather boots. When cold you must generate more heat inside. This you do by knee bends, reaching arms overhead and running while slapping arms around your body.

Erect your tent in a sheltered place such as under trees. Make a wind break by erecting a lean-to of evergreen branches and snow on the windward side or both sides of the tent. Place your bed on top of evergreen or brush boughs.
