Genl. Howard & Mr Vanderlip Dear Sirs;

We have moved a part of the Lumber from Chaptico. But not having Carts enugh to moove it [[insert]] all [[/insert]] in one day, & planting Tobacco time have come on us, we will not have time to go agan for sevrel days.

And two of the old. Trustees since we have moove a part of the Lumber, say they hav got land to build the School house on. But if they hav it is not in a suttile place. They are dissatistfide be [[strikethough]] ca [[/strikethrough]]corse School hare been opnd in the Methodist church. But they church [[strikethrough]] are [[/strikethrough]] [[insertion]] is [[/insertion]] in the senter of the Puples. And they Trustees of the Church is present school are willing to have the school continurd in the Church untill they get amore sutible place.

We intend to moove all the Lumber unless we get orders from you not to do so

Those two men I spake of that holds the contention about the school sent me word I must not moove any more of it. the say they are goint to write to you
