fixed and fairly organized I trust, by the close of three weeks from now.

Col Obrien said, thee talked of visiting us soon. I just hope it will not suit thy convenience to come, until after that time. Because, I [[underlined]] like [[/underlined]] all of you, of the Bureau, for the reason, that you seem good, & genuine friends of the Freedmen, And therefore I want any of you upon visiting the farms to call & see [[underlined]] my [/underlined]] school. I had Sabbath school today, & 80 of as nice, bright looking children came, as I would ask for. I was pleased with them, & they eager for school. I am ambitious for the the credit of Freedmens schools, & want them to rank high. I will enjoy mine & mean it shall be a number one, for it can be, As our noble Com will give me all advantages I need. But it will take 2 or 3 weeks to get started, as I have not things in readiness as yet. So please do come & see us. We will be glad of a visit & suggestions. I only brought one Assistant. I did expect to have two, But after I saw thee, I received a letter from the Com, saying, the number of children were not so many as they thought.

Yours Very Respectfully
