Dear Sir:
In reply to yours of the 23d inst I would say that the reason I had not reported the case of which you write, viz: that the colored people of Nanjemoy, near the "Tressle" desire a School, is because there are two School Houses already in that District in the course of erection, and I thought the preference was due two other portions of the County where there are no Colored Schools, and where they are making efforts to have them. Whenever you will allow us the School referred to and three Houses in other parts of the County where I wish to see them, I hope you may grant "Mr Wesley Washington's" request. Please inform me if you
