JOHN HUNTER

The John Hunter Camp Fund, Inc. is conceiving and constructing a cultural and social program focusing on the historic and current values of blacks in America today.

The "Bob" Douglas Hall of fame is the symbolic niche for the enshrinement of the great sports pioneers of the past, both living and dead, whose sterling contributions have been largely ignored.

The Hall brings the past into sharp focus and links it firmly with the present excellence of Black Athletes of Today. The Hall should inspire us to revere our heroes, share their exploits, sorrows and ultimate successes.

The purpose of the Luncheon is two-fold - to increase the awareness of black history, to reinforce, broaden and carry the roots of ethnic identity deeper into the meaning of everyday existence and to provide scholarships to send youngsters of the Inner City to Camp.
