Dear Sidney,-

I guess I didn't send any letter to you last week but I didn't mean to skip you. It was just after Bank day and we had a very busy one with over 30 applications for loans. Am just now getting them signed up and started on the books. It has been cold stormy cloudy weather and I have had to keep the heater going at the house to keep from freezing. At the office we have had no fire and it has been cold and damp. I made arrangements to have inscriptions on the monuments for Ma and Ned and he was going to put them on about May 1st. As he hadn't done it, I stopped last Saturday on my way from Brockton and he said he would do it this week, so I trust it will be ready before Decoration Day which will
