Studying in advance " Cuba before Columbus", in order to be well prepared in case you and Dr. Mestre might decide upon to let me do the translation of the book, I find myself in doubt as regards a few of the terms used in your book.

Big wall, I do not think that"Muralla grande" would be the proper word for it: can you suggest a better spanish word?

Kitchen Middens, I have been trying to seek for a proper spanish word, but so far I could not find one. I understand that the word has been taken from the danish word "kokermodderen" or a word similar to this. As I am not provided here with a good "Webster" ( Mr. Ham at Palma Soriano has got one), I am unable to print the exact danish word; What do you think of " Monton de Escorias" which word means "dirt heaps."
