Dear Richmond

Your letter informing me of the arrival of the cases came this a.m. Am glad to know what that nightjar seems to be . Anyhow it is not Siphonorhis altho its nostrils looked tubular to me.

I forgot about the 2 grasshopper sparrows - They were for Acad. of Nat. Sciences - If you could send them on then I will be much obliged. There is a pretty good series of them besides.

Much longicornis came from the Eastern Cities in January.

I expect to sail for Norway June 17th to be absent until September - when I hope to return & go back to San Domingo. I may come down to Washington next week about Wednesday or Thursday - Hope to see you there -

Yours very Truly

W. L. Abbott

P.S. You will notice that the Oedicnemus is larger than the ones originally described - Those were probably ♀ -
