Your petitioner showed that she has been deprived on said Reids accustations, of her liberty, and is eventhough the means misionary for her defense,that her money is withheld by Mr. Harrington under said Reids prohibition, while Reid who is imposable in law holds without security property to which she is justly entitled
The primary considered, your petitioner being a freedwoman, against whom now the official influences of the county are arrayed, and who is without the mercy of prosecuting his [[smeared]] and obliging her rights, [[smeared]] says that you will under your authority as agent of the Freedmans Bureau for the Friars Point subdivision, cause said H P Reid & B Harrington to appear before you and show by what authority they hold your petitioners property, that Harrington shall on a hearing of the cause, be required to surrender up the money deposited by your petitioner with him and that said H.P. Reid be required to surrender up the watch, the trunk, the tools, the money & the papers as well as the shot gun which rightfully belongs to her, or that you will make such other order in the process as will secure her property & protect her person from further wrong and assault and her liberty from being menaced by said H.P. Reid, in duty she will ever pray
