Stoughton December 15th 1935

Dear Folks

We are having snow, sleet & rain since Friday. it is growing much warmer for Sunday, our paper has just come. Mrs Barry is going to Holbrook to a funeral this afternoon. Bill's brother in law he is coming after her at One O'Clock, he takes his truck. very showy light blue, she does not mind comical) Louie Dykeman came Thursday he did the room in short order. I had to sleep out of it only one night. it looks very nice. the floor he had to make darker. then he varnished it. the room looks lovely with the yellow walls. too bad to have the rain come into spoil it. old lady Ballentine had to ask Blanch what we were having done, very curious. I would not have told her. she gets washing machines to try & sends them off after she washes everything in the house, has no ide of buying one. I dont call that honest. she is a very selfish person & so is Addie. Gertrude is loveable. Louie says Ballentine the husband was just such a man as Azel Sylvester an old drunkard & is still living. I dont think he is living but he was sent away to a hospital she said to die. The family down below us have moved but the ones opposite are
