Creek and partly on land formerly of E.M. Clark but now of HW Kinsman, to the East and South East, on land formerly owned by R.R. Bee, to the South West on the Public Road, and to the West on land formerly of E.M. Clark but now owned by said HW Kinsman.
3   All that Plantation or Tract of Land adjoining the above measuring and containing Four Hundred and Eighty 80/100 acres of High land and one hundred and Eighteen acres of Marsh land, making five hundred and ninety eight 80/100 acres more or less Bounding north on Wappoo Creek, East on land formerly of T.S. Heyward now of said H.W. Kinsman, South on land formerly of C.H. Rivers now of said Kinsman & on the Public Road leading to Wappoo Ferry and to the West on Stone River.
That this Petitioner was in the possession of the said Lands up to the Twelfth day of Febry AD 1865, when it became unsafe to use or occupy said Land - and the same is now in possession of the United States. That he has never voluntarily left or abandoned the said lands to engage either in arms or otherwise in aiding or encouraging the Rebellion within the sense or meaning of the 2d sec of the Act of Congress approved July 2d 1864.

That your Petitioner applied for and obtained from the President of the United States a Special Pardon bearing date
